You would think a 1 hour and 3 minutes: 6-0, 6-0, doesn't deserve much comment (except for the Radwanska kicked ass-comment!), but actually it does.
This match could have been totally different if Cibulkova captured that break in the first game, but instead everything went to the Pole. Putting one ball extra in court really made the difference with the Slovak producing too much unforced errors. But still, she had too many winners to deny her even one game! The reaction was quite devastating, because Cibulkova really didn't deserve the double bagel:
But Radwanska really was the better player in this final. Her serve was great and she even was quite agressive at times! Really a good indicator for the Australian Open. Hopefully Cibulkova will remember her other matches in Sydney more to gain confidence for the first Grand Slam of the year.
Keep posted, the draw of the Australian Open needs some serious discussion and wishful-thinking-never-gonna-happen predictions!
